Sucker Punch ~ Just some eye candy really

Sucker Punch is a awesome on bringing of hot girls and crazy visuals and action scenes. If your a fan of slow motion, camera pans that move around the scene, videogame like sets and hot girls, well then you will like this movie.

However if your looking for some character development or plot to enjoy, well, this is where the film lacks a little. As it doesn't use its concept to full extant.

The film opens with a music montage which is really quite well done with epic close up and some really stylish shots. Basically, Baby Doll is blame for the death of her sister and is sent to a insane prison because her Step Farther wants to get the money from their moms will. (Which was meant for the daughters). It turns out this prison is really a strip club of some sort, and Baby Doll must dance which allows her to enter the world of fantasy. How it all works is quite weird.

One of the things that disappointed me is that the fantasy world has nothing to do with the real world. So in one part of the film Baby Doll has to dance to subdue the mayor so another one of the girls can grab his lighter. But in the fantasy world they have to invade a castle, and battle a dragon to get this fire. It's like the film just wanted to switch genres.

It would have been cool if they where able to combine the worlds to fit a little bit better. Oh yeah, in the fantasy world the girls are pretty super badass and can block bullets with their swords, so you never really worry about them because they are like gods.

Anyway, the plot makes sense if you don't think about it. I still recommend seeing this film however, just for the amazing action scenes and visuals. There is a train scene that is pretty awesome where the camera does a one take move in this epic battle filled with slow mo and craziness.

Apple not testing their products???

First there have been reports of ipad 2 with yellow flicking screens, now there has been reports of Macbook Pros freezing up under load. And let's not forget that Iphone 4 issue last summer. Is it just me, or are Apple Products not just working like they should.

The quality control at Apple has seem to be, um, less focused then normal. Shouldn't you test your product to the best of your ability to avoid mass problems like this? It seems like Apple has made 3 mistakes in a row with their major releases.

Isn't a Macbook Pro suppose to be under load, its a pro computer after all? And even after maybe users have complained to Apple, apple has yet to offer a solution. Sure you could take your computer to a apple store, but thats a pain in the butt.

If this a trend in the future, it just may be the end of Apple. Remember the days when Apple's quality control was one of the best in the states. Well, times change.

Apple's Products where never meant to stand the test of time

Final Cut Studio 4 At NAB this year?

The wait for the long waited final cut studio 4 may be within sight. A lot of predictions are pointing that Final Cut Studio 4 will be launching at NAB which is hosted in the middle of April in Vegas. According to MacSoda and other Apple rumor sties, Apple has allowed a few select people test the program, Lary Jordern, a professional editor said he was impressed with how it looked.

It seems like the wait may be worth it, as the new Final Cut Studio 4 will be 64 bit and have a new UI. Will it be what everyone was wanting, most likey not, but it will hopefully please many video editors out there.

Let's also hope there will be some awesome cameras at NAB that will be able to pair with Final Cut Stuido 4 well.

Paul ~ Not the best comedy of the year, but still packs a decent punch

Paul, while not Simon Peggs and Nick Frosts best work, still packs a decent hit in the comedy genre. This time poking fun at the alien genre.

You can expect all the reference's to alien culture and area 51, such as the ET recess pieces joke. As well as the CSI guys who are trying to hunt down Paul.

The movie starts out just as a normal road trip with two best buds, but when they run into Paul, a alien who seems quite chill for being hunted by the government. Paul and Simon decide to help him out and thus the crazy road trip begins.

Although some of the best jokes where in the trailer, the movie still didn't show all of its best jokes so you can expect to laugh. Plus the movie has a really good twist, which you wouldn't normally expect from a comedy.

Overall, a pretty good comedy has finally hit theaters this year. If your into aliens or roadtrips, you should def hit this one up.

Take me home tonight Review ~ Doesn't do Justice to the 80's

Take Me Home Tonight is your average sup par comedy that doesn't live up to the hype. It does have some funny moments, but most of the movie fells kinda flat.

Take Me Home Tonight stars some trouble teens trying to figure out what to do with their lives. The main focus of the film is about a labor day party, where Matt tries to get his crush by telling her that he works for a big famous company.

Along the way, they steal a car, get pull over by cops, and run into some fights. It's nothing to original or new in the plot department, but does have its heart warming moments.

The acting is pretty good and the camera work is good. But the movie just isn't as funny as it look like it was. But otherwise, it does a pretty job of recreating the 80's.

Overall, if you love the 80's and are in the mood for a heart warming light comedy, then Take me Home Tonight is for you.

Beastly Review ~ A cheesy movie that fails to recapture the magic of Beauty and the Beast

Oh dear, where to begin. If your a fan of cheesy dialog, bad acting and a uninspired script, then you might enjoy Beastly. The movie opens up with a montage of Alex working out and showing off his body to some Pop song. It's at this moment, you know you can't hope for much.

But, it is entertaing despite its flaws. If you go in expecting to be blowen away, then you will be disappointed, but if your up for a few laughs and don't expect to much, then Beastly does have its moments.

Vanessa tries to act her best, but some of her lines come out flat. Alex does a pretty good job, but its nothing Oscar worthy. The acting and script make for some pretty funny moments just cause it is pretty bad.

As the plot itself, its pretty predictable. But what can you expect from a Beauty and the Beast remake set in modern times. I must admit, the witch was pretty cool, even though she doesn't have a back-story. She just kinda comes out of nowhere, but that's really not important.

Overall, Beastly is a classy cheesy movie at its best. It has some good laughs and will entertain you if your in the right mood.

March Madness Movie Preview

Whats at the theater this month? Well looks like its going to be a good month at the theaters.

Rango ~ Nickelodeon is giving its hand at a animated film about a Chameleon sit in a western setting. They got Johnny Depp to play the main character, which is pretty cool. Plus the animation style looks pretty cool. This movie looks like its going to be awesome and should be great for kids.

The Adjustment Bureau ~ This movie looks interesting cause it plays with the idea of destiny and god a little bit. You have Matt Damon as David, who runs into a secret Bureau that controls everyones life according to a plan. When David runs into a girl, it goes ageist the Bureaus plan, but David isn't going to let the Bureau get in his way. Overall, this should be a excellent thriller if it uses it's premise to full effect.

Take me Home Tonight ~ Love the 80's, well this movie will be up your alley. Although its hard to tell what most of the plot is, its about teens in the 80's that go to a party and try to win the girl. All in 80's fashion.

Beasty ~ Remember Beauty and the Beast, well this movie is making it modern and giving the story a updated look. Made by CBS films, Beasty looks like it will be for the girls kind of film. A hot guy gets cruse and must find true love before its to late.

Red Riding Hood ~ Another old tale gets a updated look. The camera work in this film looks amazing judging from the trailer. It reminds me a little of the Village by M. Night, but hopefully this Twilight director will bring new life to this story.

Battle LA ~ We couldn't have a epic movie month without aliens blowing up Hollywood. In the style that Cloverfield and Skyline, you can expect explosions, panic and other crazy stuff to go down.

Mars Needs Moms ~ Um, this movie looks like its going to suck, so I won't go there. Why is it that Hollywood makes these films, or should I say Disney

Jane Eyre ~ Need a period romantic piece to recover from Mars Needs Mom, well Jane Eyre may be up your alley.   With a haunting past and a future she must figure out, Jane Eyre looks like it may be interesting.

Limitless ~ What if you could take a pill that made you smart, gave you energy and was able to change your life. It would be awesome right? Well wrong as the tale of this movie tells. It kinda reminds me of taking drugs, in a sort of way. But none the less, this movie shall be interesting.

Paul ~ For those of you looking for a comedy, then Paul shall do you nicely. Simon Pigg and Nick Frost find a alien that is kinda like Roger from America Dad, and they must help him escape from Earth before the Feds get to him in this wild adventure.

Sucker Punch ~ And to end the month, you gotta end with this epic action comic book movie. What more could you ask for?

Ipad Two ~ How its been improved

Steve Jobs took the stage to introduced the Ipad Two. After months of rumors and hype, the 2nd Ipad has arrived, and while it looks the same, it does come with some cool changes.

~At last, Cameras have arrive on the device. Front facing camera for Photo Booth and facetime and a rear camera for taking pictures. The cameras match the quality of those found on the Iphone.

~Faster Processor means more speed. While the old Ipad seem to move pretty good, Ipad two promises to move even faster

~10 hour battery life, which is pretty good and will last you a whole day.

~New case design which uses magnets and can fold up to tilt the Ipad for use on a table. I have to admit this is pretty cool.

~Imovie and garageband are coming to the ipad, which will please film and music addicts.

Sadly, no improved display or USB ports or anything like that, but hey, there is always Ipad 3.But Ipad two looks like a pretty good update and I'm sure it will please many users.

Apple does love its colors
