Final Cut Studio 4 is Now Final Cut X

Last night at NAB in Vas Vegas Apple previewed Final Cut Pro X, the lasted update to their software. So far, the update looks pretty awesome.

Final Cut Pro X has been remade from the ground up, taking a new Gothic look and now being true 64 bit. Meaning you can advantage of all that power in Mac Pro. You want it to, cause Final Cut Pro X renders your effects in the background in real time, allowing you to work without waiting for something to render to preview.

There are some other cool features like auto color matching, face detection, and more. Final Cut Pro X will be released in June and sell for $299. Much cheaper then buying the entire final cut pro suite. The rest of the apps such as Soundtrack Pro and Color where not mention, but it appears that Apple may make a update on those at a later date.

It will be interesting to see how the upgrade feature works in the future, cause if you bought Final Cut Studio 3 in hopes for upgrade to 4, well you may be out of luck. But Final Cut Pro X should be very exciting and we can't wait to get our hands on it.
