Arthur Film Review ~ Stick to the Original

Today I'm reviewing Arthur, no, not King Arthur, or Arthur and the invisibles, or that Arthur cartoon. (Geez, there is a lot of stuff with the name Arthur in it). But the 2011 remake of the 1981 film of the same name. Now, a lot of people don't know that this a remake, but I am telling you now, stick with the original.

Arthur is about a rich man who has been raised like a kid his whole life, but now faces a tough decision when he has to marry a girl he doesn't like in order to keep his fortune.  Things don't get any easier when he does met a middle class he does like, and there fore must try to find a job and get use to being a middle class person.

Who is our lovable rich play boy, why its Russell Brand. I don't know if its just me, but his voice kinda annoys me a little. Trust me, you better get use to it cause you get to hear him talk throughout the whole film.  But I guess he is suppose to be a annoying rich boy though, which he does pretty well.

The jokes in this comedy are your over used slap stick and dull one liners. It does its job of being somewhat entertaining but nothing at all memorable. The Original was pretty well done so I don't know why this remake was needed at all. Oh well, if your looking for some mild humor with rich people that are not really all that funny, oh wait, what I am saying. Just watch the 1981 Arthur if your looking for something good and worth your time.
